James' Model Railway Co.

James has been involved in building and running model railways since he was a child and is a well-known face in the UK community. 

With his skills as a professional 3D draughtsman he is able to design any size layout specific to each client’s wants and needs. 

His particular expertise in wiring and automation means that within each design he can best plan the electrics to suit that client’s preferred way of running trains. If a client is unsure, James is on hand to guide.

Passionate about trains, James understands why you want, nay need, that layout in your life!

When it comes to baseboards we work with two businesses to ensure we can meet your exact needs as your railway takes shape. Once James has designed your dream layout we use a local business, RWS CNC Ringwood, to cut each section which fits together perfectly and gives you the strongest and most lightweight base to build the perfect layout. 

Model Railway Solutions are on hand to work with us to make any alterations as your dream takes shape and you decide you can dream a little bigger! We guide you at every step to the best build, and we know at this stage when things start to take shape you need us to be flexible, and we have the professionals to do just that.

Andy and Pete are our scenery guys. Between them we can scratch build anything you can imagine, or work with any existing scenery you wish to incorporate. 

We also love any excuse to take a railway journey ourselves and research a piece of historic railway you’ve always wanted to model.
